Creativity and offering new experiences are a way out of the crisis for small entrepreneurs in tourism – Project #thefirsttime, Zagrebačka bank

Discover the hidden beauty of Croatia for the #firsttime. Under this motto, Zagrebačka bank (Zaba) has launched a truly innovative social responsibility project

Zaba has donated promotional campaigns to micro and small-sized entrepreneurs in Croatian tourism. In a competition in which every micro and small business in the field of tourism had the opportunity to win a free advertising campaign with a nationwide broadcast. The heroes of this campaign were family hotel and resort owners, eco-farm owners, family farm owners, tour guides, restaurant owners, and others who invite people to visit them throughout the year, all of which for the #firsttime. As a commission member that selected the winners, Dr Sanja Čižmar gave an interview in the business newspaper Poslovni dnevnik.

This creative project is present in Croatian tourism for the first time. It is important because of three dimensions: it is innovative in approach and socially responsible. It provides concrete support to the most sensitive segment of the tourism sector - small businesses and encourages the discovery of new destinations in Croatia that, in new-normal conditions, tourists are most looking for.
